NEARLY 200 people attended a special Speakers' Night to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Bannockburn Amatuer Football Club.
The event, held at the town's Tartan Arms pub on Friday, September 28, was also attended by TVs Peter Martin, international goalkeeper Alan Rough, and Eric Davidson.
On display on the night was the Scottish Amateur Cup and the West of Scotland Amateur Cup which Bannockburn have won a total of seven times.
As part of the celebrations, gifts were made by George Dingwall of The Scottish Amateur FA, Alex Owens of the Central Scottish Amateur League, and Milton Amateur FC.
Derek Robertson, a committee member, said: “This is our biggest single fundraiser of the year. It was made extra special in our 50th season.
"The event was a genuine team effort by all the club’s committee. Thanks to all who came along and supported us.
"Special thanks to long term sponsors The Tartan Arms and Morton & Sullivan painters as well as everyone who donated prizes to this event."
