A DUNBLANE group was recently welcomed to Scottish Parliament.
Members of the Dunblane Likhubula Partnership received a warm welcome to Holyrood by local MSP Keith Brown.
Made up of local residents and visitors from Malawi, the group attended the First Minister’s Questions, had a tour of the building and took the opportunity to meet a number of politicians including Nicola Sturgeon.
MSP Brown, representative for Clackmannanshire and Dunblane, said: “I was delighted to welcome members of the Dunblane Likhubula Partnership to the Scottish Parliament for a visit.
“I always enjoy demonstrating how open and accessible our parliament is and it was great to receive positive feedback from the group – both from the visitors from Dunblane and from Malawi.
“It was interesting to hear more about the work of the partnership which has gone from strength to strength over the last 15 years and I wish them well in their future endeavours.”
The partnership connects to Dunblane community to people in Likhubula, a rural community in the Mulanje district of Malawi where projects focusing on clean water supplies, agriculture and education are being supported.
