STIRLING'S Macrobert Arts Centre have launched their 2018 Christmas Appeal - with some help from Panto Dame Keith Mcleish.

Keith stars as Fairy Contrary in Sleepin’ Cutie, Macrobert’s panto extravaganza for the festive season, and was joined at the launch by some of the talented members of the panto young cast.

The Christmas Appeal helps pay for panto tickets - and Macrobert works with over 20 local charities to make sure the tickets reach those most in need.

Groups who have benefited from the appeal include Stirling's Young Carers, Action for Children, Home Start, Stirling Women’s Aid and Strathcarron Hospice.

A donation of £15 secures a panto ticket, a signed cast photo for each child and family, and a free interval ice cream thanks to Mackie’s of Scotland.

In the past few years, businesses and locals have generously donated over £40,000 the the appeals.

As a result, 3,200 people from across Stirling and the Forth Valley were treated to a night of fun, music and hilarity, as well as the occasional boo, hiss and cheer.

If you want to donate to the appeal you can click here, call 01786 466 666, or visit the Centre in person from 10am.
