A MAN has been arrested and charged after a house was ransacked and a car stolen in Bridge of Allan earlier this week.
The incident took place during the night between Tuesday, August 28 and Wednesday, August 29 in Cawder Road.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Police in Bridge of Allan received a report of a housebreaking and theft, which took place overnight between Tuesday 28th and Wednesday 29th at an address in Cawder Road.
"Various items including a car were stolen during the incident.
"The vehicle was recovered at the Phoenix Retail Park in Linwood on 29th August and a 34-year-old man was arrested and charged.
"He was due to appear at Stirling Sheriff Court on Friday 31st August."
