TRAINS to Dunblane have been suspended after a person died as a result of being hit by a train.

British Transport Police were called to Croy station after the alarm was raised at 12.12pm this afternoon.

Paramedics were also scrambled to the scene.

ScotRail announced that services between Glasgow Queen Street and Edinburgh to Alloa and Dunblane were being suspended.

However, it was confirmed by police that the person had passed away.

A spokesperson for the force said: “BTP officers were called to Croy station at 12.12pm after reports that one person had been struck by a train.

“Paramedics were also called to the station.

“We can confirm that the person has now died and we remain on the scene.”
