A STIRLING shop is stocking up for Independent Record Store Day this weekend with live bands lined up for entertainment.

Originally established in the Wee County, Europa Music will be taking part in the global celebrations this Saturday, April 21.

Limited edition vinyl records will be available on the day with more than 500 exclusive releases including David Bowie, Prince, Pink Floyd and Ocean Colour Scene to name a few.

Playing from around 12noon at the Friars Street shop will be the likes of Blind Lemon Gators, The Cobalts, Kelso and Russel, Leo McArdle, Skilled Embryo, davesnewbike with more to be confirmed.

A range of fellow local businesses on Friars, Baker and King Streets are also putting offers and events on for the day.

People are advised to queue early, nothing can be reserved and it will be first come, first served – shop doors open at 9am.

Originally established in Alloa in 1976 and moving to Stirling in 1992, Europa Music has the largest vinyl record store in Scotland.
