Traffic Scotland
A CAR came off the M8 carriageway during rush hour, causing delays for commuters.
The Junction 5 slip road at Shotts was closed by police at around 8am this morning.
The vehicle was recovered at around 8.25am and the road reopened shortly after.
It is unclear whether anyone was injured in the collision.
Traffic Scotland tweeted quickly after the recovery that traffic had begun to ease and move normally.
