MEMBERS of The Boys' Brigade junior section from Stirling, Dunblane and Falkirk came together with adult volunteer leaders to celebrate the age group's 100th anniversary last week.

More than 100 boys came together with 30 adult volunteer leaders to recognise the milestone in the grounds of Stirling Castle with party games, live music and birthday cake.

And many have also been taking part in the Juniors 100 challenge, which encourages young people to complete 100 challenges and raise £100 for a local charity.

Bill Stevenson, chief executive officer of The Boys’ Brigade, said: "We are thrilled to be celebrating the 100th year anniversary of the juniors section - what a milestone.

"This year we’ve been encouraging our members to get involved and try new activities as part of the challenge as well as work closely with their peers and local communities.

"Today is particularly special as BB groups across the UK have been out in force, hosting their own parties in celebration. I hope everyone has a fantastic day and wish all junior members the best of luck in completing their challenge. Here’s to the next 100 years."
