PARENTS and pupils are invited to experience a day in the life of Beaconhurst School at an Open Afternoon next month.

Prospective families have the chance to see the independent Bridge of Allan school in action on Monday, May 1 between 2.30pm and 4.30pm.

There will be guided tours around the campus as pupils and staff go about their normal business giving a real insight into how Beaconhurst operates.

There will also be the opportunity to speak with members of the senior leadership team, heads of department, teachers and pupils.

Headteacher Sandra Bannerman will also be on hand to chat to parents and answer questions.

She said: “The May Day Bank Holiday is an ordinary working day for Beaconhurst so it’s an ideal opportunity for prospective families to see life as it is at the school.

“There will be pupil-led tours and the chance to chat informally to staff and discover what the school is all about.

“Please come along to see what we have to offer, meet the staff and pupils and get a real feel for Beaconhurst.”

More details of the Open Afternoon are available on the school website at and prospective visitors are asked to contact the school in advance if they wish to go along.

Parents can register by emailing or calling the school on 01786 832146.
