A SAUCHIE man has been jailed for assaulting two people during a violent Christmas Day bust up.
Garry Hiddleston was arrested on December 25 last year after police responded to a disturbance at his house in Schaw Court.
The accused attacked his partner by seizing her by the neck, before striking another man on the head with a bottle and seizing him by the neck, to his injury.
On Thursday, fiscal depute Matthew Kerr told Alloa Sheriff Court that the fight began when Hiddleston accused his partner and friend of having an affair.
Defending, Claire McCarron claimed that her client was taking steps to tackle his mental health difficulties and alcohol issues.
She added: "He accepts that alcohol is a problem for him and what has brought him to court today."
Despite Hiddleston's efforts to turn things around, Sheriff David Mackie jailed the 34-year-old for five months.
