ACTIVE STIRLING will continue with their Toddle Walks programme later this month.
The idea was first launched as part of the buggy walks initiative in November 2016, and proved popular.
Toddle walks are the next step for our buggy walking kids and parents to continue their walking journey where they can still have fun together, explore new places, meet new friends, and have fun.
Walks are led by Active Stirling’s qualified walk leader Leanne who delivers walks and classes in the pre-school program.
The group are keen to raise awareness of walking as an activity for children, highlight benefits such as developing motor skills, socialising with other children, keeping healthy, improving cognitive development, enhancing bone and muscular development and, generally, making them calmer and happier.
All toddle walks are free, with the next one scheduled for Wednesday, February 15, at Kings Park in Stirling, from 10.30am-11.30am.
The next one will be at Flanders Moss, Thornhill, the following Wednesday, at the same time.
Other walks include Doune Castle on Wednesday, March 1, or at the Bannockburn Heritage Centre on Wednesday, March 8, both 10.30-11.30am.
Little walkers and parents are asked to remember and dress for the Scottish weather.
