Police in Forth Valley Division are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road collision in Camelon.

The incident happened around 3.05pm yesterday (Tuesday 24 March) in Union Road at the junction with Stark Avenue.

Martha Queen from Falkirk sustained serious injuries when her mobility scooter was involved in a collision with a BMW 3 Series car.

The Scottish Ambulance Service was also in attendance and pronounced the 71-year-old dead at the scene.

A 66-year-old woman who was driving the BMW was injured.

Road Policing Officers are now investigating the full circumstances surrounding this collision and anyone who can assist with their enquiries is asked to come forward.

Sergeant Alistair MacLean of the Divisional Road Policing Unit at Stirling said: “Sadly this incident resulted in the elderly woman sustaining serious injuries that she succumbed to despite the best efforts of the ambulance staff in attendance.

“We are now appealing for members of the public who witnessed what happened to contact Police Scotland immediately.

“In particular, we are keen to establish Martha’s movements on her mobility scooter in the moments leading up to the collision.
