POLICE have confirmed a new sighting of missing student David O'Halloran in Bridge of Allan on the night of his disappearance.

They are noe appealing for anyone in the area with information to come forward.

Inspector Pat Scroggie said: "We have CCTV in Bridge of Allan which shows David crossing Henderson Street, which is the main road, at 2.19am on Friday January 18. He is seen to then walk along the road in the direction of Keir Roundabout.

"We are keen to hear from anybody who was in the Bridge of Allan area between 2am-3am on Friday January 18. We are also keen to hear from anybody who may have seen David walking.

The 18-year-old man missing after a night out in Stirling. He was seen to walk along Airthry Road from Causewayhead from around 1.15am and was then seen at the roundabout outside Stirling University at 1.57am.

Inspector Scroggie added: "David may have appeared unsteady on his feet. We have carried out extensive searches in the grounds of Stirling University as well as gardens of residential houses in Bridge of Allan. We are also using every available resource including Strathclyde helicopter, police dogs, specialist search officers, police officers and police divers.

"We are extremely concerned for David as this is totally out of character for him. When he went missing the weather was extremely cold and it has remained wintery."

David is described as being 5'5" tall, brown hair with blond highlights which is short at the back and longer on top, of slim build and was wearing a white tee-shirt with a black and green checked shirt on top. He was also wearing black slim-fit jeans and black trainers.
