Stirling Albion manager Stuart McLaren was proud of his players' second-half performance after they took a point from their trip to face East Fife.

The Binos boss felt his side could even have gone on to win the game if decisions had gone their way.

He told Stirling News Sport: “The first half was relatively even. It's an error from us which gives the goal away and that is disappointing but I thought we were terrific in the second half.

"We scored a well-deserved goal and created some good situations, and we were denied what looked like a clear-cut penalty.”

McLaren was disappointed with Willie Robertson's red card, and felt the referee had got the call wrong.

“I wasn't happy with Willie's first yellow card because he does everything right. The second one speaks volumes about Willie.

"He is coming in to cover his team-mates and he has made a decision knowing he is going to get sent off to prevent them scoring.

"We would take a yellow card for that but I am going to be without him and it's down to that first decision.”
