ONE of Scotland's biggest boxing gyms has just signed two fighters from the Stirling area.
Bannockburn man James Thomson and Callander pugilist Monty Ogilvie have both switch to professional ranks with MGM Scotland.
Light-welterweight James has made an excellent start to his professional run, building an impressive 8-0 record.
He will make his debut under the gym on March 24 at the Boxing Dinner Club event at the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow.
Promoter Sam Kynoch said: “James is a very talented boxer and has the ability to make a real impact at light-welterweight. The next stage of his career is going to be an exciting one and we have big plans for James moving forward."
Featherweight Monty has had an extensive and successful amateur career before turning pro, with Sam adding: “Monty has been doing some sparring at the MGM Scotland Gym and we are excited about guiding his professional career. We have a very busy 2017 events schedule and will be looking to keep Monty active."
He will debut at the Ambition event in Edinburgh on Saturday March 11.
