A HARD one for Milton to take as they played really well in a hard fought match.

Comrie went close early on after good play from Shaddick, Giffnock went close 10 minutes later as the game went from end to end. Taylor went close after a Shaddick cross on the half hour mark. Five minutes later Milton goalkeeper McEwen made an excellent save to keep the scoreline blank.

After the break the big Milton goalie made another excellent stop to deny the home team. Whiteford was very unlucky on the hour mark with a tremendous shot that went narrowly over the bar. Milton were piling on the pressure and Burns headed just over from a Taylor cross. Five minutes later Giffnock took the lead with a well taken goal.

In the 75th minute. Mitchell set up Harris but his effort crashed off the crossbar. Burns had a shot saved with 10 minutes to go. Giffnock ran the clock down and finished with all three points.

On Saturday, October 15 Milton are at home to Bearsden in a league match, Kick off at 2pm. That evening Milton have a race night in The St. Modans sports club beginning at 7.30pm. All welcome.
