Active Stirling hosted their annual Junior Basketball Tournament at The PEAK, Stirling Sport Village this week for Secondary school across Stirling.

As part of Active Stirling’s Secondary School events calendar, over 100 S1 to S3 pupils from Stirling High, Wallace High, St Modan’s High and Dunblane High Schools took part and competed for the shields in the following categories S1 boys and S2- S3 boys and girls.

The format was short, sharp, with continuous games to allow every team as much court time as possible. Pupils of mixed levels competed in 35 games throughout the day with the overall winning team being Wallace High School with a clean sweep of trophies.

The event was organised by Active Stirling - Active School’s Co-ordinator Marco Giudice added: “It was great to see all the secondary pupils having a great time, putting in so much effort to compete for the shield. The atmosphere at The PEAK was fantastic and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.”

Fixtures were managed by senior pupils from Wallace and Stirling High as well as Les McGlasson from local club Stirling Knights.

Active Stirling would like to thank all the schools for taking part and to everyone who helped out on the day!
