Glaswegian comedy star Kevin Bridges has added an additional two hometown shows as part of his arena tour next year.

The addition of these new dates on October 17 and 18 brings his total nights in the city to twelve as part of his 52-gig 'Brand New' tour.

The star, who has not toured the UK since 2015. has spent this year performing in Australia, New Zealand and parts of Asia.

The comedian said: "I’m delighted to announce that I will be back on the road in 2018.

"It’s been 3 years since my last tour, 3 tough years of watching the world fall apart thus, I’ve decided, I need to get out of the house more and lend a hand in saving it.

"With amusing anecdotes and witty observations I’m sure I can save the world or at least provide a decent enough night out."

Tickets for the 'Brand New' tour went on sale on Friday morning, with Bridges no stranger to breaking box office records.

His 2015 tour, 'A Whole Different Story', was the fastest selling comedy tour of that year and had a total audience of 500,000 people.
