St Ninians Playgroup is to host an open session.

Gone are the days of a couple of enthusiastic mums running a local playgroup. Nowadays it is run as a business with a volunteer committee. Playgroups also require fully-qualified early years educators and a lead practitioner with a degree-level qualification.

In partnership with Stirling Council, St Ninians Playgroup provides pre-school education for children aged two-and-a-half to five-years. Those that qualify for funding can use their 600 hour free entitlement at the playgroup.

The playgroup offers a quality service on par with any pre-school establishment. It offers a wide range of activities and a stimulating environment where play is fun and educational.

The playgroup is run by a volunteer committee of parents/carers and has a first-class reputation for providing pre-school education that has been recognised by the Care Inspectorate, who recently awarded it a very good rating.

St Ninians Playgroup is hosting an open session on Friday 20 March from 10-11am. This will provide an excellent opportunity for parents/carers and their children to come along and sample the warm and friendly atmosphere.

The playgroup is held in St Ninians Old Parish Church hall. Located in the heart of Stirling, it allows easy access for families throughout.

If you are interested in enrolling your child in the playgroup, the open session provides the perfect opportunity to do this.

If you are unable to attend the open day, please feel free to email stniniansplaygroup@hotmail.com or call 07757 741073, where staff will be happy to organise an alternative date, time to visit, or simply send you out a registration pack to complete.
