CONTINUING their celebration of 100 Years of the Junior Section, 100 boys from around Stirling and Clackmannanshire got together for a night of fun at their ten-pin bowling competition last week.

The boys enjoyed lots of camaraderie and new friendships between the seven different companies in the area as they mixed together in lanes for the competition and some pretty tasty food together, too.

Individual winners on the night were (L to R) Alfie Heaver (P4, Tillicoultry), Thomas Savaridas (P5, Dunblane) and Finn Clarke (P6, Dunblane). The lane with the highest average score was made up of (L to R) Archie Crossley, Scott Robertson, Theo Brooks, Ruairidh Bottomley and Saul Moizer.

Although the calendar year of 2017 is coming to an end, celebrations of the section’s 100th Anniversary will continue until the summer of 2018, at the end of the 100th ‘session’ of Junior Section, which was formed in 1917, opening up the Boys’ Brigade to boys aged 8-11.

Places are available for boys in P4-P6 at seven local groups in Alloa, Tillicoultry, Clackmannan, St. Ninians, Stirling town centre, Dunblane and Bridge of Allan.
