AN AUTHOR has received residency at a Stirling primary and will be working with school children on various projects.
Nick Hesketh will be at Our Lady's Primary School as part of a scheme funded by the Scottish Book Trust to inspire a lifelong love of reading and writing during this academic year.
He is the author and illustrator of 'The Story of Mull and Iona', 'Bodkin Keeper of the Marsh' and 'Bodkin and the Big City'.
Nick said: “To receive an invitation to be Our Lady's writer in residence was a wonderful honour. I visited them recently and remember the school as a vibrant, bright environment with supportive teachers and engaged pupils.”
A spokesperson for the school added: “We are looking forward to holding a residency this year. We are ready and determined to work hard and succeed in our goals.”
