DOUNE CASTLE capped their season with their player of the year awards evening in Stirling.

The event, which was held at the team's sponsor the Fubar Nightclub, celebrated the team's on-field efforts.

Awards were presented by Castle stalwart Colin Burke and a number of first-team players were recognised.

Kenny Feaks, Niall McClure and Sean Heaver were commended for their performances for the Scottish FA select side.

Heaver, who netted 26 goals during the season, received the Golden Boot Award for the second successive year.

He was also presented with the Man of the Match Award after a number of impressive performances during the campaign. This award is determined by weekly nominations from the club's supporters.

After an outstanding individual season, David Innes swept the boards winning all three of the club’s top awards.

Innes received the Docherty Trophy, for player of the year, the Hurst Trophy – selected by his peers, and the Callum Ferrier Award - given to the supporters’ player of the year.

Doune Castle AFC wanted to thank sponsors and supporters for their contribution throughout the season.
