FIRST Scotland East/Midland Bluebird executive assistant and administration manager, Alison Hall, is in the running for the prestigious Scottish PA of the Year Award.

Alison, from Stirling, who is executive assistant to the managing director at the bus operator, is just one of three hopefuls shortlisted for the award.

The winner will be announced following a live vote by delegates at the 10th Annual Conference and Award for Executive Secretaries and PAs: ACES 2017, at Murrayfield Edinburgh, on June, 23.

Mother-of-two Alison (49), has worked for First Scotland East/Midland Bluebird for 12 years at its Carmuirs depot in Larbert and said she is “thrilled” to be shortlisted for the award – after previously reaching the finals in 2014.

She said: "It’s wonderful to be considered for this award and to be recognised by your peers and other professionals.

"This company has enabled me to develop my skills and experience and just last year I completed my Chartered Institute of Management Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership.

"I’m really looking forward to the awards ceremony on 23 June.”

First Scotland East/Midland Bluebird managing director, Paul McGowan, said: “Alison richly deserves to be shortlisted for this award.

"She is held in the highest regard by my colleagues and I for her efficiency, professionalism and dedication, and we wish her every success at the awards ceremony.”

Prior to working for First Scotland East/Midland Bluebird, Alison was an administrator for Stirling Council, and previous to that she was an ice skating and aerobics instructor.
