FIREFIGHTERS had to chop their way through the ceiling of a four-storey building during a call out in Stirling last week.
Crews were dispatched to Murray Place at around 5.30pm on Friday evening, following reports of a roof fire.
Curious onlookers watched on as the Scottish Fire and Rescue teams arrived and began to climb the side of the Costcutter building from the back.
Though there was very little smoke, firefighters were seen chopping into the roof with an axe before applying the hose.
A spokesperson said: "The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was called at 5.31pm on Friday, May 12, to reports of a fire at a property in Stirling.
"Three fire appliances were immediately mobilised to the fire in the roof of a four-storey building in Murray Place.
"Firefighters used powerful water jets to extinguish the fire and left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe."
