THE Thistles in Stirling welcomed the Dinosaur Detectives on Sunday, May 7 as part of its popular The Little Thistlets Kids Club, an exciting entertainment-packed programme, which takes place once a month throughout 2017.

Running from 11am until 4pm on the first Sunday, access to the club is free and also includes exclusive discounts and special retailer offers for participants.

A fantastic range of themes each month, featuring engaging characters such as Andy Murraymint, Zara the Zookeeper, Terry Dactyl, Barbara Woofhouse and Prince Pants a Lot, are guaranteeing younger visitors to the centre are kept occupied with lots of fun, educational activities.

The weekend’s dinosaur theme invited kids to step back in time with Terry Dactyl and his team on a dino stomping, rip roaring, storytelling adventure.

Finding fossils was the theme of the day and maybe even locating the whereabouts of the long lost Doyouthinkesaurous dinosaur.

A fun packed prehistoric adventure from start to finish – it was a must for little dinosaur lovers with large imaginations.

Joining Terry Dactyl were education and inspiration officers from Blair Drummond Safari Park, who offered kids a hands-on experience with their fantastic touch table which included a range of exciting animal biofacts such as skins, feathers and even a lion’s skull.

In keeping with the Dinosaur theme, Blair Drummond’s focus was on endangered species and animals currently facing extinction.

Phil Byrne, centre director at The Thistles, said: "The Little Thistlets Kids Club is proving popular with our younger visitors to the centre.

"We have created a fun-packed entertainment schedule, which takes place on the first Sunday of every month, to keep even the most demanding of children occupied, and allow busy parents and families to enjoy their shopping experience at The Thistles.
