A TEAM of five from Stirling & District Battalion was victorious in the Boys’ Brigade National Cross-Country in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow.

The event saw four boys from Stirling Battalion’s intermediate (age 14/15) group finish in the top 12, securing the team trophy for the age group in some style.

Sean Duff, Cameron Robertson, Cameron Fraser, Shawn Cooper and Ruairidh Brown ran the 4km gruelling challenge in squally rain, which hadn’t been a problem for the junior or senior races, but breezed through in great time, securing the silverware ahead of 12 other teams from all over Scotland.

Meanwhile in the 13-and-under race, highest finisher from Stirling & District was Sandy Buchanan (Dunblane) and in the 18-and-under race, Niels Gouw had the highest finish.

Congratulations go to all the boys who took part.
