WORK is well underway on a new lodge in Stirling which will create 15 jobs in the area.

It will be part of the Highland Gate pub at Cruive Dykes in Stirling and it due to open mid-June.

This modern and comfortable accommodation is located just off the M9 motorway and is perfect for business and leisure travellers who want to spend a few days in the local area.

Opening alongside the Highland Gate rotisserie pub restaurant, the lodge will offer 38 rooms including family rooms, double and twin rooms and also disability access rooms.

The lodge is part of an ongoing new build scheme by Marston’s Inns and Taverns, as a drive to provide top quality pubs and lodges across Britain.

Area operations manager Avril Lothian said: "We’re extremely excited about our latest addition to the Highland Gate.

"We hope the lodge will build a great reputation locally, offering a comfortable and relaxing place to stay that our customers can enjoy."

The next phase of recruitment is set to begin at the Highland Gate Lodge for a variety of different roles.
