A Stirling veterinary hospital realised almost £1000 for charity from their birthday celebrations.

Broadleys Veterinary Hospital, Craig Leith Road, held a charity fun day to tie in with their 20th anniversary celebrations.

The day, on Saturday 11 July, was a huge success being attended by families and pets.

The charities to benefit, many of which were present on the day, are: Cats Protection, Northern English Springer Spaniel Rescue, Sunny Harbour Cat & Kitten Rescue, Paws for Progress, Campaign Against Canned Hunting, Born Free, Animals Asia Support Group, Scotland for Elephants, Forth Hedgehog Hospital and Fundraising for Wildlife The activities on the day included Quack Commandos, by the Scottish Sheepdog School. This showed how sheepdogs training works by herding ducks.

There was a dog show with members of the public who were attending with their dogs and a falconry show by Phoenix Falconry.

And there was a stand with reptiles for the public to handle from Party Animals, Perth.
