A local IT support company in Dunblane is taking on Britain’s highest peak in order to raise money for the British Lung Foundation.

On Sunday 2 August the team at CPL will be walking up Ben Nevis which is situated outside the Scottish town of Fort William and is 1344 metres above sea level.

This will be a big challenge for the employees of CPL, with it being most of the team’s first Munro. Over the past couple of weeks they have been in training around the local area, taking full advantage of the Trossachs on their doorstep.

CPL IT Services has been in business for over five years now and felt they were now in a good position to raise some awareness and money for the British Lung Foundation.

They have set a goal of £1000 which will help pay for a lung testing machine and equipment.

One person in five in the UK is affected by lung disease. It can be frightening and debilitating.

The British Lung Foundation provided hope and support to patients and families dealing with lung diseases. They also fund vital research so new treatments can save lives.

The team of 10 staff will be setting off from their Dunblane office at 6am on Sunday 2 August and hope to complete the walk in just over six hours, including time for a quick photo at the top.
