Stirling Castle will display the world’s largest embroidered tapestry until 8 March.

The Great Tapestry of Scotland, which depicts millions of years of Scottish history, has gone on public display in the Great Hall as part of a national tour.

Alistair Moffat, co-chairman of the Great Tapestry of Scotland Trust, said: “Stirling Castle features within a number of the panels that make up this story of Scotland’s past and it’s wonderful that we are able to showcase and share this story in the surroundings of a building that has a rich story of its own.” The Great Tapestry of Scotland exhibition is open daily, and is included in the castle’s admission price.
