Extras wanted!

Producers of a revised Scotland/East Midlands-based amateur romantic comedy, The Reunion (to be uploaded on YouTube before Christmas 2015), are set to stage a charity rounders match at the University of Stirling as part of the scenes to be filmed.

They are now looking for new supporting/guest cast members/extras to be part of this match and other scenes, coming from Bridge of Allan and/or Stirling, to join other existing cast members from Edinburgh.

Director Ayaz Sheikh will also star in the film as his real-life alter ego ‘Simon Shiekh’ - who will be part of an explosive love triangle with two women on both sides of the border.

He said: “The starting pistol of Edinburgh/Scotland filming began over the recent Easter weekend in spectacular style, when a ‘murder’ took place in Bridge of Allan. The up and coming charity rounders match will be full of surprises and twists thereafter, with the cast members sought being part of dramatic and comical scenes.” The rounders match will take place on Sunday 24 May from 3-4pm, and then a badminton game will also be filmed.

Cast members must be aged 18 upwards, be from all walks of life and will be filmed for scenes in advance with different clothing/hairstyles etc. They don’t have to be sporty.

Ayaz added: “This is an exciting amateur film production experiment based on a plot full of twists and turns, and also includes a kidnapping and embezzlement. Bridge of Allan is a lovely Scottish town and we’d like it to continue to be part of the filming and give locals a chance to contribute to the community, especially for charity.”
