Travellers at Stirling train station were surprised to encounter medieval warriors on the platform last week.

The Clanranald Trust re-enactors were in full 1314 dress complete with spears, as a new advert for the National Trust for Scotland’s Battle of Bannockburn experience was installed at the busy travel hub.

The Battle of Bannockburn experience is the first heritage centre in the world using Hollywood-calibre motion capture to immerse visitors in a realistic and historically accurate 3D medieval battle, which also features the Clanranald crew.

The centre is open all year round, seven days a week. Book online now at www.battleofbannockburn.com.
