Bannockburn is now in bloom - thanks to the new hanging flower baskets fitted at Quakerfield Shops.

Funding for the baskets was obtained with help from the Community Pride Fund - thanks must go to officers at Stirling Council for this.

The Main Street has specially made baskets for lamp posts, which allows an additional bit of colour.

Large plant containers fitted earlier this year in various areas are now in full bloom.

It is hoped all of the above have added colour to areas where there wasn’t any before and will be enjoyed by all in the community and visitors to Bannockburn.

If there are any gardeners looking to help with maintaining the plants and flowers, please let Bannockburn Community Council know.

A BCC spokesperson said: “A big thanks to all who helped.” ‘Bannockburns GARDEN in bloom competition’ will close at the end of the month. If you are interested in taking part, application forms are available at Bannockburn library, post office and newsagents. Good luck to all taking part.
