A TILLICOULTRY dance teacher has announced she will be opening a new studio in the wake of successful classes in the Forth Valley area.

Claire Hoyle revealed she will be holding weekly classes at the Dunblane Centre, after hosting a West End workshop there two weeks ago.

This is the second workshop Claire has organised, with the first one taking place in the Easter holidays at the Dumyat Centre.

She consulted with her friend Karl Davies, who owns My Theatre School in Bournemouth, and she decided to open a branch in Scotland known as MTS Central.

Claire said she was delighted with the reception for the two workshops and looks forward to hosting regular classes.

She told the Advertiser: “We completed our first workshop in the Easter holidays, working on songs routines and scenes from School of Rock, Mamma Mia and The Greatest Showman.

“We all had such a good time and loved working with the amazing children who joined us – so much so that we decided to do it again in the summer holidays.

“I am so delighted and proud to announced that in September, we will be starting regular weekly sessions on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings at the Dunblane Centre.”

On top of general tuition, there will also be a devoted class catering for neuro-divergent children and young adults – which is also open to anyone who would feel more comfortable working in smaller groups.

Claire also runs Music Bugs, music and sensory classes for babies and toddlers in the Stirling, Callander and Clacks.

The main classes will take the form of mini workshops each week and will feature many aspects of performance including singing, dance, acting technique, directing, casting and choreography.

Claire added: “The main reason for starting MTS in Scotland is to give children that sense of belonging, togetherness, and support in everything they do.

“We’re extremely keen to help children and young people grow in their abilities and to help them find and develop skills and hobbies that they enjoy doing.

“We strive to build confidence, life skills and special friendships, and will always endeavour to do so.”
