YOUNG Stirling sports stars recently made their Scottish international debut at the 2018 GB School Games Finals in Loughborough last weekend.
Blayne Wright, Elise Graham-Marr and Susie Roberts competed in the laser run - where athletes alternate between using a laser and running in a race to the finish line.
Blayne took team gold for the U16 Boys, and Elise also won team gold for the U14 Girls, but Susie took gold in the Individual, Mixed Pairs and Team U14 Girls events.
Their coach, Billy Mitchell from the Stirling Pentathlon Club, said: “The Scotland Team had an outstanding trip, winning 8 out of 10 Gold medals available.
“For all of the Stirling Athletes to perform when it counts and for all to bring back Gold medals was remarkable.
“Many thanks to the University of Stirling for their support in the early days of the Club – without this these successes would not have been possible.”
The athletes next challenge is the British Modern Triathlon competition in Nottingham, where a sprint swim takes place before the Laser Run
