A TEAM of cyclists completed a 42-mile journey from Stirling Castle to Dumbarton Castle last month.
The group from D Company, 7th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland (7 SCOTS) took on the challenge to raise awareness for the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Museum and their Thin Red Line Campaign.
The team consisted of Major Watson (OC D Coy), Sgt Blair, Cpl Davenport, LCpl Urquhart, Pte McLean and Pte Gess, who are all Army reservists based between Dumbarton and Stirling.
Battling the elements, with strong wind in parts, the team completed the journey in good time and still smiling.
The Thin Red Line campaign aims to raise funds to support the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Museum, which is based in the grounds of Stirling Castle.
With the antecedent ties between 7 SCOTS and the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders it was a fitting cause to promote whilst keeping fit and pursuing adventurous sport.
