A YOUNG couple were delighted after a determined staff member at Blair Drummond Safari Park helped track down their missing wedding ring.

Tom Embleton was visiting the park with his wife, Nina, and their child on August 22, when he noticed his wedding ring had vanished from his finger.

The pair spent an hour frantically searching the park before having to leave – but Blair Drummond’s Aaron Jack never gave up.

Nina said: “We left our details with staff in case they ever come across it and were amazed to receive an email telling us that it had been found.

“We had not expected them to continue searching and are so grateful to Aaron for what he’d done.”

Aaron, who works as a seasonal staff member with the amusement team at the park, used a metal detector to track down the illusive wedding band.

He said: “When I heard that Tom and Nina’s day had been interrupted by the lost ring I wanted to do what I could to try and make things better.

“The find was a chance in a million, but I was happy to help.”

This was not the first time Blair Drummond staff have used a metal detector to find a missing wedding ring.

In 2010, former Brookside actress Jennifer Ellison was reunited with her missing ring after losing it in the car park.
