ALLOA's annual summer fun kick-started in style last week – with dozens coming out to soak up the sun and entertainment.

Each Thursday the performance area on the High Street will host family activities with magic shows, petting zoos and super heroes to come over the coming weeks.

The programme, organised by Alloa Town Centre Business Improvement District, already drew enthusiastic crowds into the town centre last week, when Amazing James launched the string of events with his antics, entertaining youngsters and adults alike with his jokes and games.

The audience, both young and old, had the chance to take part with some popular music enhancing the experience.

Tomorrow, Thursday July 12, will see the return of the Animal Man Mini Zoo, which has proven popular in previous years.

There is still loads to come with a party featuring Batman and Moana, handling and photo opportunities with Owl Magic, entertainment from Mick Magic and Gary Dunn is set to close the shows on August 9.

Most of the events are on between 11.30am and 2pm or 2.30pm – visit atcbid.com or find Alloa Town Centre on Facebook for more details.

The idea behind the programme is to provide family entertainment while generating more foot traffic and hopefully business in the town centre.
