COMMITMENT to staff has earned a Stirling opticians internationally recognised business accreditation.

Specsavers in town has been awarded the Investors in People Platinum Accreditation for its management of people.

Suzanne Akil, store director at the opticians who manages 42 employees, said: “As one of only 25 organisations in Scotland to have achieved this, it is with great pride that the store has been re-accredited with such a prestigious award, and we are delighted to have reached the Platinum standard – a level that not many businesses can boast.

“It is highly gratifying to have the work that we do every day recognised by such a reputable body, and we will continue to maintain this standard as the business continues to thrive.

“We know the importance of nurturing great staff on an everyday basis to maintain high business standards, and the accreditation reaffirms our dedication to this.”

Only around 1 per cent of Investors in People accredited clients reach the top standard.

Peter Russian, chief executive of Remarkable - the home of Investors in People in Scotland, added: “The highest of the Investors in People accolades, Platinum recognises organisations who are truly committed to their people, continuous improvement and customer service.

“We’ve supported Specsavers Stirling since 2009 and we’re delighted to see their ongoing dedication recognised with their Platinum award.

“Many congratulations.”
