POLICE are appealing for information following an assault and robbery at an address in Stirling earlier this month.

Officers are looking to trace the owner of a blue Audi hatchback seen in the area of Claymore Drive on Wednesday, February 7.

The incident happened around 7pm, when four men entered the address and took a quantity of cash and jewellery.

A 63-year-old woman sustained an injury to her hand and was subsequently treated at the scene by the Scottish Ambulance Service.  A 77-year-old man was uninjured.

Police were called and officers have been investigating the circumstances over the past two weeks.

A blue Audi hatchback, similar to an A3 or S3 model, was seen to be parked in Claymore Drive around the time of the robbery and officers are eager to establish who was driving the vehicle.

Detective Inspector Kenny McAndrew, of Stirling’s criminal investigation department, said: “This robbery was a frightening ordeal for the man and woman whose home was invaded.

“A blue Audi hatchback was seen in the Claymore Drive and Caltrop Place area around the time of the robbery and we are keen to identify the driver.

“I would ask anyone who may have seen this vehicle around 7pm on Wednesday, February 7, in the Claymore Drive and Caltrop Place area to come forward.  I would also appeal to the owner of the car to contact us so we can eliminate them from our inquiries.

“I would also encourage anyone who did see a group of four men in the area at the time of this attack to get in touch with us at their earliest convenience.”

Those with information can contact officers at Stirling CID on 101, quoting incident number 3352 of February 7, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 101.
