RAIL passengers travelling to the Capital from East Lothian faced delays this morning (Wednesday) due to a broken down train on the North Berwick line.
ScotRail confirmed a train broke down at Drem this morning, with replacement buses sent for waiting passengers at Musselburgh, Wallyford and Prestonpans stations, taking them to Edinburgh.
Disruption was expected to last until 11.30am and a tweet from ScotRail (see below) confirmed the incident was now at an end.
CLEARED: #Drem disruption has now ended, and bus ticket acceptance has now been removed. Sorry if you were affected by this ^AE

As a result, rail tickets are no longer being accepted on buses as had been the case during the delays.
