A POLICE operation briefly closed the Kincardine Bridge yesterday, following reports of a person in "in the water".
Officers led a multi-agency effort to locate and rescue anyone who might need assistance, with the alarm raised at around 3pm.
Emergency teams traced the person involved and the road was opened a short while later.
The #A985 Kincardine Bridge has now re-opened. We would like to thank everyone for their patience. https://t.co/RWRuLO19O4

The Marine and Coastguard Agency, Scottish Ambulance Service and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were all involved in the operation, as well as police units from Fife and Forth Valley.
The bridge had been closed in both directions with traffic diverted via Clackmannanshire Bridge.
The RNLI Queensferry Lifeboat Facebook page posted: "The lifeboat made best speed to the area after concern that a person was in the water.
"Thankfully the situation was resolved and the lifeboat was stood down before arrival at the scene."
