Councillor Drummond resigns, prompting by-election
COUNCILLOR Archie Drummond has announced his resignation, prompting a by-election in the county next year.
The SNP member for Clackmannanshire North was first elected in May 2012.
His resignation will take affect on December 31. His constituents will continued to be represented by the three other elected members in the ward.
The council have confirmed that a notice of election will be published in January, with the by-election to be held within three months.
