A GLENOCHIL prisoner has been given an extra six months behind bars after admitting throwing excrement at a security officer.
Jamie Thomson was originally charged with three counts of throwing a container holding an unknown substance over three different guards.
However, as he entered the dock he announced he was representing himself and wanted a chance to explain his side of the story.
He told the court that he was pleading guilty to only one charge, a plea which was accepted by the Crown.
The prosecutor then told how Thomson approached officers holding a tub.
“He then took the lid off and threw the contents over him,” the depute fiscal said.
He was given a period in segregation for his actions.
Thomson, 26, then pleaded with the court to be given a suspended sentence because he has now “accepted his circumstances” as he claims he is in prison with a considerably long sentence.
Sheriff David Mackie instead gave him a further six months on his sentence.
Thomson remarked as he left the dock that the decision was “s***e”.
