FAMILIES are invited to a Junior School Open Morning at Beaconhurst later this month.

Anyone interested in finding out what Beaconhurst has to offer can head along for a tour between 9.30am and 11.30am on Friday, November 24 – an in-service day for Stirling and Clackmannanshire schools.

Prospective parents and pupils will have the chance to see the independent Bridge of Allan school in action and meet junior school teachers.

Sandra Bannerman, headteacher, said: “We’re opening our doors to prospective families, so they can come and have a look around the junior school.

“They can find out more about out learning formats and the broad and diverse curriculum we offer at Beaconhurst as well as our wrap-around provision.

“We also have a wide range of extra-curricular activities with something to suit every child’s interests.

“These include well-developed sporting pathways for those who enjoy tennis, triathlon, golf and other sports as well as an exciting programme of expressive arts with several productions taking place every year.”

The school also encourages junior school pupils to get involved in activities such as the John Muir environmental awards scheme and, once they are older, the Duke of Edinburgh Awards programme.

The open morning will include guided tours around the junior school which last month marked its 20 year anniversary on the current site.

More details of the open morning are available on the school website – www.beaconhurst.com – and prospective visitors are asked to contact the school in advance if they wish to come along.

Parents can register by emailing admissions@beaconhurst.com or calling the school on 01786 832146.
