STIRLING COUNCIL has retained a national award for the customer service provided by its housing team.
The local authority was awarded the Cabinet Office-approved Customer Service Excellence Standard last year in recognition of the high level of care provided by the service.
An annual follow-up inspection has confirmed retention of the Customer Service Excellence Standard and the council has achieved a Compliance-Plus Award.
The Housing Service is responsible for providing and facilitating sustainable and affordable housing across the Stirling Council area, whilst working with tenants and others to deliver a transparent quality service.
Convener of the Housing Portfolio, Councillor Evelyn Tweed, said: "We are delighted that our housing team has retained this exacting standard. This is a reflection on the high level of professionalism and customer care shown throughout the team.
"Maintaining high standards of customer care is a priority for Stirling Council and our staff deserve the highest praise for continuing to provide such an outstanding level of care."
