TWO friends who started a beauty salon in Kincardine are hosting a Christmas present drop-off as part of their official opening.

Kristine Allison and Pauline Stewart launched Blush Boutique, a hairdressing and makeup service, in July but have yet to mark the venture’s beginning.

The pair decided to do something different by inviting the public in on Friday, November 17 to donate gifts for children at Rachel House Hospice.

Kristine said: “I do a lot of charity work. I just thought an opening night, what can I do, so I thought I would make it a Rachel House Christmas drop-off.

“We are asking everyone that is coming to bring a present for a boy or a girl. I do it every year. I just think what they do is amazing.”

Other local businesses will be invited to set up stalls and Kristine hopes the community effort will prove successful.

“I would like to make it a proper drop-off every year,” she added.
