FORTH VALLEY FRIENDS OF SCOTTISH OPERA will open a new season of events with a talk at Smith Art Gallery and Museum.
John Liddell, the head of costume at Scottish Opera, will discuss his job, focusing on the upcoming production of La Traviata.
Having graduated from the University of Glasgow with a law degree, Mr Liddell decided his future lay elsewhere and starting making theatrical costumes.
He has spent most of his career with Scottish Opera and is thought to be the ideal person to explain the artistic and practical aspects of providing costumes and accessories for a range of productions.
The talk will take place on Sunday, September 17 at 2.30 pm.
