TULLIBODY Fresh Air Fun Day is returning next week after a hugely successful first year in 2016.

Tullibody, Cambus and Glenochil Community Council have brought the event back to the heart of Tullibody after it went down a storm last year.

The fun day will take place in Tullibody’s Public Park and Civic Centre on Saturday.

The afternoon will be kicked off by the Clackmannanshire Pipe Band at 12 o’clock and the entertainment will continue throughout the afternoon featuring an array of attractions – including some of last year’s much-loved favourites.

Crazy Golf is back along with Toppy Star pony rides and Animal Man with his furry and scaly friends to join in the fun while Edinburgh Samba Band will transport visitors on a musical journey to Brazil.

Co-organiser of the event Janice Muir said: “New to this year’s event will be Laser Shotgun with Tullibody regiment Army Cadets, sports day races held by Tullibody Action Group and Clackmannanshire Council Sports Development Team and historical walks with Tullibody History Group commencing at 1.30pm and 3.15pm.

“Football tournaments will also be taking place on the pitches throughout the day thanks to Tullibody Community Football Club.”

Indoors, there will be a dedicated toddler area in the sports hall, which will host soft play activities, arts and crafts and lots of toys and games for the little ones.

There will also be musical sessions from Music Bugs, a Book Bug session from Clackmannanshire Council Libraries and a teddy bears’ picnic, as well as local traders selling various items.

In the function hall, cream teas and treats will be served by Cafelicious, where everyone can sit back and feast upon magical entertainment and balloon modelling from Jamie the Jester, science experiments from Be Experimental and much more.

Ceilidh band Freereelin’ will round-off the day.

Janice added: “We are delighted to have the Fresh Air Fun Day back for 2017.

"We felt really strongly that after the success of last year we wanted this to be an annual event for the people of Tullibody and visitors to enjoy.

“We are really pleased with the line-up for the day and we wish to thank all the local businesses who have supported this event so far as it would not be possible without your help.”
