A STIRLING care home has been given a glowing the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The team at Annfield Care Home were delighted to have received an overall “Good” CQC report, showing that the home is attaining high standards in the five key areas the care regulator assesses, demonstrating that it is: Caring; Safe; Effective; Responsive; and Well-led.

Staff were singled out for particular praise in the report, with inspectors highlighting that they were hard-working, and supported people in a kind, caring and friendly way.

Inspectors also noted that it was clear that good relationships had been developed between people living in the home, their relatives and staff.

Rosemary Campbell, manager of HC-One's Annfield Care Home, said: "We are delighted with this report which is a testament to the hard work that each and every member of the team puts in day in day out.”

Liz Whyte, managing director of HC-One, added: “This rating is great news and I would like to thank and congratulate the whole team for their commitment and dedication.

"It is our aim to be the first choice care provider in the communities that we serve, and our good rating by the CQC is just a step in this journey.

“The health and wellbeing of our Residents is at the heart of everything we do, and we are 100 per cent focused on continuing to deliver the kindest care."
